Reduce Food Waste with Style

What is behind the agenda of the most promising restaurant in the Middle East? How do you turn ugly vegetables into an appetizing and nutritious capsule? With the increase in the demand for deliveries, is it possible to reduce the use of disposable tools? What is the "Teacher's Room" cocktail and how does it help reduce the waste of the coffee industry?

 

For several years, Israel has held the dubious second place in food waste among the OECD countries, but there are those who are trying to change this statistic for the sake of the future of all of us.

 

As last year, this year too we have invited to gather experts and speakers who have made the Food-Waste a way of life: Chef Shirel Berger from the Opa restaurant will discuss in a conversation with Michal Levit creative solutions for reducing food waste in professional kitchens and how they can be applied in the home kitchen as well; Anat Natan, founder and CEO of Anina: Culinary Art, will present their unique development - a designed capsule made of local raw materials intended for injection, which turns into a nutritious meal by heating quickly and is already available for purchase; Sociology doctoral student Noa Berger, who studies coffee culture, will talk about the research and collaboration with the Stanley Bar, with whom she concocted a cocktail based on the leftovers from the coffee making process; and Ran Doron, CEO of the startup company OPA will present their innovative solution to reduce the wasteful use of disposable utensils in the field of food packaging in food deliveries
