A journey exploring one of music’s most mysterious elements - silence. Spanning 250 years of music, we will discover how composers have used silence not merely as a pause between sounds, but as a musical material in its own right - creating tension, anticipation, and meaning. Through works from different periods, and comparisons with art and literature, we will explore the fascinating relationship between sound and silence.
